Hotel - Skywalk
(Real information below) As has ween widely speculated, millions of years ago, a race of advanced beings grew very bored. Having long ago grown out of the "abduct unsuspecting people and insert things into them" phase, they decided to abduct various beings on different planets and swap them about. They called this "seeding worlds". One late Tuesday evening (September 23rd, 3,000,000 B.C.) these creatures landed on Earth and abducted several of our favorite critters, the Pleistocene Snail (Discus macclintocki) and moved them to a much harsher environment. As evolutionary trends diverged, our favorite little snails became violent and warlike. In order to survive their many conflicts, they evolved ridges and redundant systems. Eventually, their wars destroyed their home planet, and they returned to Earth. Upon landing, this August, they quickly made war on their brethren and utternly defeated and enslaved them. Taking control of their former habitat (downtown Des Moines), they now patrol the streets. The Des Moines skywalk system serves as an important protection for us soft humans. The Des Moines skywalk system links many locations throughout downtown Des Moines with a network of clear tunnels. It's kinda like a habitrail for people. Anyway, you can use this skywalk system to get from the hotel to various restaurants or other places of interest. While many of them are closed during the weekend, we do have a list of those that will be open.
