This year DemiCon plays host to Lubov. In addition to being the artist responsible for many of the images you see on this site, Lubov is known for her work in the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres.

Winter by Lubov	Born in Russia, Lubov started her artistic training at the Nevsky School of Art. There, she studied the techniques of European and Russian painters, where she prefered the Russian realists and folk artists.	Feather Dance by Lubov
She moved to the United States of America in 1980 and continuted her training at the School of Art Institute of Chicago. After graduation, Lubov worked freelance for the usual magazines and publishing companies, and in her own time, she worked in art shows and fairs.		Metamorphosis by Lubov
Royal Procession by Lubov	Eventually these shows progressed to Science Fiction conventions. Lubov has been very active in many conventions, and you will usually see her work at various conventions across the country. Her stellar artistic ability has even won her several art show awards as well as Best Professional Artist at the World Horror Convention in 1997.	Composition by Lubov
