DemiCon 14 gaming will feature open gaming, RPGA events, tournaments, board games, a LARP and so much more. Want to know what exactly is going to be at DemiCon, just look at the gaming schedule. Think this is a lot of games? Guess again - we're still working on more! This year's Game Room promises to have something for everyone! In addition to open, play what you will, gaming, DemiCon will feature the following structured activities:

• Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament - Make sure the kids bring their Yu-Gi-Oh cards to Demicon! Mayhem Collectibles is sponsoring a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. All you need is a deck to play with. Everyone is invited to play the card game that has taken America by storm. Best of all, we'll have lots of prizes to give away! Saturday night from 9 to 11pm, as well as Sunday from 10am to noon!
• Frag Tournament - If you're a fan of 1st-person shoot 'em up computer games, Frag is for you! You get to play the same game, but on a board instead of on the TV. Bryan Bornmueller is hosting a Frag tournament Saturday afternoon from 12-4pm. Can you kill off the rest of the Demicon membership?
• Buttonmen Tournament! - Cheapass Games makes them and we're using them! Bring along all of your multi-sided dice and we'll provide the buttons! Take your chance on a lucky dice roll as you compete in Demicon's first Button Men Tournament!! Everyone gets a free Button Man just for playing and we?ll be giving away prizes! Saturday starting at 7pm.

• Flight Game Demos - Join Billy Dale, Des Moines resident FFG guy all day on Saturday and try out the best games Fantasy Flight has to offer! How well can you do at:
• Citadels - You're the ruler trying to complete your city before the rest. Can you do it?
• Lord of the Rings - Five Hobbits try to get the One Ring to Mount Doom and destroy it before Sauron captures them. Can your furry feet run fast enough?
• Game of Thrones Card Game - Based on the novels by George R.R. Martin, this game is perfect to try at Demicon! Check it out!
• Kingdoms - You're the King of your lands, trying to establish castles and reap the most gold from the soil. Can you be the most successful ruler?
• King's Gate - The King has died and you claim to be the rightful heir to the throne. But so do the 3 other players. Can you take control of the city and become the new ruler of the land?
• Historical Miniature Gaming - Dean Kirkpatrick will be bringing several fun mini games for people to try out all day on Saturday.
• Munchkin Demo - Bryan Bornmueller is bringing Munchkin to Demicon! Be your favorite type of D & D character and try to kill your way to a win! This game is so much fun we're having two demos - Friday from 8-10pm and Saturday 8-10pm.
• X-bugs - Try out this twisted version of tiddly-winks. Control an army of microscopic bugs and try to wipe out your opponent! Saturday from 9-11am.
• Star Munchkin - It's Munchkin in space! Use your laser pistol and super space armor to be the winner! Try out this great new game at Demicon from 5-7pm on Saturday!

• RPGA - Worldwide gaming group with various openended campaigns
• GURPS - Generic role playing system, rules exist for pretty much everything
• Vampire LARP - Welcome to Los Angeles, the City of Angels; the city where the only thing limiting your rise to power is how willing you are to get your hands dirty. Now both vampires and mages are turning up missing, and if you discover why, a position of power may open up for you. Starting Saturday at 8pm!
• Silver Age Sentinels - Mayhem Collectibles RPG master Jason Danitz wants you to try out Silver Age Sentinels! If you've ever had the desire to be a superhero, then here's your chance. See if you and the rest of the heroes can save mankind from the clutches of evil. Best of all, you have two chances to play Saturday from 12-4pm and Sunday 11am-3pm.
• Deadlands - If you like westerns, horror and role-playing, then Deadlands is for you! Thanks to Pinnacle Games and Justin Taylor, we'll be having three Deadland games for people to jump into!
• Deadlands: Into The Deadlands - Friday 9pm-midnight
• Weird Wars: Blood On The Rhine - Saturday 1-4pm
• Deadlands: Frankly My Dear - Saturday 9pm-1am

• German Board Gaming - If you know games, you know that Germany creates the finest in the world. For the first time ever, Demicon brings Tim Rose, Iowa's greatest board gamer, to the convention! Best of all, he's bringing along a carload of German boardgames for everyone to try out, from classics like Settlers of Catan to the newest games like Carcassonne, Starfarers of Catan and more! With a repertoire of 200 games, everyone will have something to play!
• Settlers of Catan - Make your settlement dominate the island
• Carcasonne - Escape from the prison island
• Hare and Tortoise - A racing game
• Torres - A strategy game of castle building
• Tikal - Explore ancient temples
• Kill Doctor Lucky - The best of the Cheapass Games is back! Follow Doctor Lucky around his luxurious mansion and try to kill him. If you do, you win! Sound simple? Think again! Friday night from 10pm until midnight.
