HotelDemiCon 17: July 28-30, 2006We will be cooling our heels at the Hotel Fort Des Moines again this year. You can escape from those pesky summertime space time continuum Rift Storms into this Grand old hotel located in downtown Des Moines. Though it may seem as though you stepped through a time warp into this Hotel reminiscent of a bygone-era, you can enjoy costumes, games, programming and music surrounded by the luxury of this hotel. Like last year, our hotel features lots of function space, as many hotel rooms as we can use, and not-so-easy parking. The parking ramp located across 10th street from the Hotel Fort Des Moines will be unavailable this year. See our parking page for details on where to park. The Hotel is also connected to the city's skywalk system, for ease of mobility. The Hotel Fort Des Moines is located on the corner of 10th and Walnut in downtown Des Moines. Please, keep in mind that, like several of the last few years, I-235 is under construction. Our directions are designed to help you avoid the construction mess. Room rates this year are $75.00 per night for up to four persons, plus 13% sales and hotel/motel taxes. Suites are available for $99 per night. Please call the hotel to make reservations and remember to mention DemiCon to get the the rates. Also, keep in mind that the hotel room block expires on 6/30/2006.
