Janet was born in the Year of the Snake and grew up in Singapore. She winged her way to Kentucky in America to get
her Journalism degree. She met
her husband at a Science-Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop at Michigan. They went back to Singapore for a time and
moved back to the States in 2004 landing in North Carolina.

She enjoys art, art history and science history. Her artistic mediums are pencil, ink, or watercolors, and ink digitals
and her favorite topics include fairies, mermaids, dragons, angels, elves, and other RPG characters and creatures.
She is a gamers favorite as an artist member of "Ellen Million Graphics-Portrait Adoption" and does portait
adoptions for RPG characters.

She has done illustrations for books and CD covers and has won a Strange Horizons' Readers Choice for Best
Gallery and Illustration.
