Parties

DemiCon 16: July 29-31, 2005

Late Night at DemiCon is about Anime and videos, gaming, filking or music jamming, and the Room Parties. This year on Friday and Saturday nights, DemiCon will have non-smoking room parties on 4th floor, the level right above the ConSuite. This allows the hardy fans to take the stairs and will hopefully make for shorter lines at the elevators. Only rooms in the designated party areas of the hotel will be allowed to hold parties. Please let us know if you wish to host a room party so that we can arrange for your room to be located on the correct floor.

Some people may be ready to call it a day at 10:00 PM. However, for other people, this is when the social aspect of the con really gets going. A group of people can host a party in their hotel room. Now, while these parties are not part of the official con, they are open to all convention members. Parties tend to have free snacks and drinks; they could have music, movies or karaoke. They give everyone a change to mingle and meet other convention attendees.

Anyone wishing to host a room party must let us know in advance so that we can make certain your room is in the designated area for room parties. You can let us know when you register by checking the "I wish to host a room party" box, or you can contact us at parties@demicon.org and tell us that way. Since we will not occupy the entire hotel, we are assigning room parties to specific areas of the hotel. Please make a room reservation and let us know that you are hosting a party. This year, there will be one main floor for room parties and it will be non-smoking. If you wish to have a party that allows for smoking, be sure to let us know and we will set up a designated area for parties in smoking rooms.

NO room parties will be allowed outside of the designated areas.

Prior to the convention, this was a form allowing you to contact the appropriate department head.
